Boil Water Notice for Community Public Water Systems

Due to water line breaks throughout the City of Cameron the water towers are running low.   This has forced the City into a boil water notice.  Residents throughout the city will be experiencing low or no water pressure until the leaks have been repaired.   The city can produce water; however, the consumption is higher than the production.  The Water Department is working on leaks and repairs.  Boil Water until further notice. Please see the following notice required by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ):

Do not drive, the roads are icy and unsafe to travel.  Excess water from the leaks have made road conditions worse.

The City is also experiencing high volumes of water through the wastewater distribution lines and wastewater plant due to residents running water through personal waterlines trying to prevent frozen pipes.

Be aware of falling tree limbs throughout the city.  Report blocked streets to the Cameron Police Department.  Call 254-697-6574.  The Cameron Street Department is clearing limbs in city streets.
